Foro Marítimo Vasco, Lead Partner of CONSORTEX project, has taken advantage of ITECHMER fair held in Lorient (France) between October 16th and 18th to present in public its progress and foster the relationship and mutual knowledge between Basque and Breton companies in order to improve maritime industry firms position in international markets.
ITECHMER is a fair organised by Bretagne Pôle Naval, one of CONSORTEX project partner, dedicated entirely to the world of fishing. It has been held at the Lorient Exhibition Park and has had more than 200 exhibitors and 7,000 visitors. CONSORTEX project has had a fixed presence sharing a stand with Bretagne Pôle Naval, Industrias Ferri and Zineti. In addition to the exhibitors, other companies participating in the project were present: Obeki Group, Skandiaverken and Indar Electric.
On the first day of the fair, Anne Marie Cuesta, manager of Bretagne Pôle Naval, opened the event, referring to the presence of Foro Marítimo Vasco and highlighting the importance of the Interregional European CONSORTEX project for the maritime industry.
In the afternoon, Juan Miguel Sans, manager of Alium Consulting, made a presentation of the advances and new steps to be taken in CONSORTEX Project. Representatives of Basque and French companies participated in the subsequent debate. At the end, they had the opportunity to meet each other, introduce themselves and change points of view regarding Engine Room and Deck consortia.
The following days were dedicated to the dissemination of the project in the stand.
